We are offering an exciting opportunity in the transport industry, specifically in Norfolk, Virginia, 23502, United States, for an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager. This role involves managing the process of Accounts Payable and acting as a liaison between various entities. It requires a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the Accounts Payable process and ensure its smooth operation
• Act as the main point of contact between Shared Service Centers, Treasury and business Lines entities
• Review all incoming communication for necessary approvals and documentation and action or forward to the appropriate team for handling
• Provide support to vendors and intercompany partners as needed
• Oversee the timely and accurate processing of vendor communication, invoice processing, and vendor master data entries
• Handle emergency reconciliations/vendor issues promptly to avoid business disruptions
• Provide support to internal and external audit requirements for P2P process
• Ensure master data for vendors with 1099 or 1042 IRS reporting requirement are properly set up and maintained in ERP system
• Be responsible for reconciliation of intercompany activity and matching
• Perform other related duties or projects as assigned• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the transport industry
• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting
• Hands-on experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Proficiency in using Concur for expense management
• Strong skills in Data Processing
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge and experience in Auditing
• Experience in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
