Job Title: Field Service Technician
Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance on multiple brands of compressors for clients. You will utilize your industry knowledge and ability to read schematics and work instructions to troubleshoot various equipment issues. Familiarity with wiring diagrams and low voltage electricity is essential, as is the ability to work on refrigeration systems. A high level of customer service is required to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain multiple brands of compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics and work instructions.
• Read wiring diagrams and handle low voltage electricity.
• Work on refrigeration systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience repairing and maintaining compressor systems, including piston, rotary screw, oil-flooded, and oil-free air compressors.
• 2-3 years of experience with low voltage electricity.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and wire harnesses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Own set of tools, including end wrenches, socket set, amp meter, and multi-meter.
• Comfortable with heights, climbing ladders, and working in elevated positions.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Installation experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Training will occur in Cincinnati or Indianapolis for the first 1-2 months, with hotel and meals covered. You will travel to different manufacturing facilities to service cranes or compressors, with the option of bringing equipment home. Expect morning meetings every Monday to discuss weekly plans and safety, followed by a mix of shop and road work throughout the week. The role involves considerable drive time.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Vacation/Personal Time Off:
• 2 weeks (80 hours) after 90 days of employment
• 3 weeks (120 hours) after 5 years of employment
• 4 weeks (160 hours) after 10 years of employment
• 2 additional days (16 hours) after 20 years of employment
• 1 additional day (8 hours) for every 5 years after 25+ years of employment

• 7 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday after 60 days of employment

• 5 sick/personal days after 90 days of employment

Health Insurance:
Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

401(k) Plan:
• Eligible to participate after 6 months of employment plus the 1st of the following quarter.
• Employer annual match is 25% of employee’s deferral up to $500/year.
