Overview We are seeking an attorney who wants to use their law degree to help people while earning a livable salary. Our firm specializes in complex consumer protection work, handling class actions, mass arbitrations, and individual matters. The cases are complex, ranging from RICO lawsuits targeting the “free trial scam” to mass arbitrations against online car sellers. We’re looking for talented individuals who are passionate about fulfilling work. You’ll help people in need and change their lives for the better. Our smaller cases include lifting judgments on high-interest loans and recovering funds fraudulently taken from clients. We do innovative investigative work and have built customized software to assist with our lawsuits. We also pursue complex class action cases involving allegations of fraud on the Internet. Description of Duties We’re looking for someone with civil litigation experience who can handle cases with minimal supervision. You should be able to (i) look up what you don’t know, (ii) recognize when you need help, and (iii) ask for assistance when needed. Responsibilities include managing discovery, briefing, and arguing motions before courts and arbitrators. More About the Position This position is almost entirely remote. You will need a dedicated working space and a solid internet connection. Occasional trips may be necessary for court appearances or client meetings. Your hours will generally be 9-5 Monday through Friday, with flexibility for personal reasons. The primary goal is to complete your work on time. Requirements Active California law license required High proficiency with computers and systems Ability to work remotely An outgoing personality with a knack for client interaction Willingness to learn new areas of law Understanding of state and federal civil procedure rules Ability to manage a large case load efficiently Preferred Additional bar licenses in multiple states Trial and/or arbitration experience Knowledge of EFAA, TILA, EFTA, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, and class action procedures At least two years of civil litigation experience or significant trial experience Interview & Hiring Process Applicants will participate in multiple Zoom chats, provide writing samples, and references. Selected candidates will complete a conflict screen and confidentiality agreement. Salary & Benefits $130,000 per year salary. Health insurance available.
