Archimedia Solutions Group is in search of an experienced Digital Press Operator to oversee the production of high-quality printed materials. In this role you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Konica, Canon, & HP digital press machines. As a Digital Press Operator, you will manage the production of high quality, 4-color, digital print collateral, ensuring that all printing projects meet rigorous quality standards and are completed on time. This role blends technical expertise with attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare digital files and perform prepress tasks including layout verification and color calibration.
• Review proofs and final samples before releasing to clients.
• Run print jobs and share finishing and packing responsibilities with team members.
• Monitor print jobs for quality, consistency, and accuracy throughout production.
• Maintain productive workflow focused on meeting customers and project deadlines.
• Finishing Responsibilities: trimming, scoring, folding, laminating, foil stamping, perfect binding, wire-O binding, spiral binding, tape binding, saddle stitching and packing.
• Train and coach team members to assist in printing and binding.
• Collaborate with the team to establish workflow, tracking, and operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of printing supplies to support uninterrupted production.
• Be flexible on responsibilities (e.g., cleaning, stocking shelves, other duties as assigned)
• May require standing for long periods and lifting materials.
• Oversee maintenance of printer & finishing equipment & inventory.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) with strong skills in graphic design and layout design.
• Knowledge of color management principles and quality control processes related to print production.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Multi-tasker with great time management skills.
• Quality control operations.
• Outgoing, resourceful customer-focused individual.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and respond to customers’ needs quickly and effectively.
