Position Summary
We’re looking for a creative and passionate social media expert with a passion for beauty, a talent for storytelling and a knack for creating engaging content to join our Brand Marketing team.

The Social Media + Communications Manager will play a key role alongside the Sr. Manager of Global Brand Marketing + Social Communications in driving and executing the global social media communication + growth strategy inclusive of UGC management, paid and organic influencers and brand ambassadors.

You will be responsible for how the brand and its relevant campaigns are expressed through organic social by way of branded content, paid and organic influencers ranging from macro to nano.

You are a proactive self-starter and problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure and is as interested in storytelling and creating content as you are in analytics You are knowledgeable and passionate about the industry and have your finger on the pulse of who is leading and changing the conversation in the industry. A sense of humor is also a plus.

Social Media:
  • Drive and execute global strategy for social media across all channels.
  • Ideate, shoot, and edit socially native content to tell our brand stories and grow our social presence.
  • Track social trends and present relevant learnings to team (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, etc.).
  • Craft & edit copy in the brand’s relevant tone of voice for all social channels working closely with the brand marketing team.
  • Prepare social launch plans for all new product launches, as well as supporting core business.
  • Manage all social handles daily, including posting, engaging + responding to all activity.
  • Continuously investigate ways to grow followers + engagement levels.
  • Lead monthly social reporting, presenting key learnings to team.
  • Present monthly social cadence calendars to leadership.
  • Be an active contributor in brainstorms and define how each new launch + related campaigns can come to life through the lens of social.
  • Continuously stay abreast of competition and share trends as needed.
Influencers:
  • Develop + nurture relationships with key industry experts, influentials and tastemakers and to help keep (MALIN+GOETZ) top of mind.
  • Fulfill product requests on a weekly basis.
  • Partner with ecommerce teams to manage UGC deployment for paid media.
  • Assist with invoicing, contracting, rights usage and budgeting accordingly.
  • Lead development of influencer briefs and crafting a strong narrative.
Communications:
  • Effectively communicate brand storytelling through social in the brand’s tone of voice.
  • Assist team with creative mailer ideations and send outs.
  • Support PR agency on all requests.
  • Vet all charitable contribution inquiries and arrange donations when appropriate.

Education/Experience:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong creative and expository skills.
  • Experience with social media management with a deep understanding of popular and emerging social marketing trends.
  • Active participation in a wide variety of social media activities such as community development and content creation.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and the ability to multitask.
  • Shares excitement to be part of a small, nimble, and passionate team where a teamwork mentality is required.
  • Passionate for the beauty industry across all categories.
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly and concisely convey your thoughts and ideas to any audience in any context.
Benefits:
  • The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.
  • The New York corporate office is hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days work from home).
