The MITRE Intelligence Center is seeking a Managing Director (MD) for its National Intelligence Division, N920, located at MITREs McLean campus. The Managing Director reports to MITREs VP, Intelligence Center and serves as a member of the Intelligence Center senior leadership team.
The MD is accountable for the leadership of the Division and the planning and implementation of MITREs work program in support of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). The MD is responsible for the development and execution of the Division strategy, and the delivery and execution of the work program by aligning the workforce and technical capabilities to deliver mission value. As a member of the Intelligence Center senior leadership team, the MD is also accountable for supporting the Centers strategic goals.
The MD must be familiar with the mission, organization and technical areas of key importance to ODNI and the Intelligence Community writ large. This includes working knowledge of ODNIs mission centers and directorates, as well as technical depth in one or more of the following areas: single and multisource intelligence collection & analysis, acquisition and procurement, data strategy and management, intelligence community policy and strategy, and research test & evaluation.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing an organization, a record of engagement at senior levels of the government, and the ability to operate and interact effectively in a large, complex, matrixed, and dynamic organizational context. They will have demonstrated outstanding and timely results in leading projects that have significant enterprisewide impact, while building trusted relationships and exemplifying MITREs values and professionalism. As a technical thought leader, the MD is expected to apply their areas of expertise and contribute to highcriticality sponsor projects and corporate strategic initiatives.
The primary responsibilities of the position must be carried out in person in McLean, Virginia. Applicants will establish a regular presence at ODNI sponsor locations and MITRE locations with staff supporting those organizations, as well as have availability to travel to those locations on short notice. This may entail frequent, flexible, and/or extended travel as mission and organizational needs dictate.
