Job Details Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes using Lean Six Sigma tools to improve product quality, reduce cycle times and costs, and optimize production efficiency. Lead special projects, including capital equipment design, workflow automation, and implementation of support equipment. Collaborate with vendors to ensure parts, equipment, and tooling meet quality standards and specifications. Provide engineering support to production departments, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Deliver updates on new products and changes while developing and optimizing manufacturing processes. Prepare capital expenditure requests and manage approved projects to completion. Support continuous improvement initiatives by coaching and mentoring employees as part of the Operational Excellence (Opex) group. Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing workflow, space utilization, and equipment layouts. Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods, validating finished products, and confirming process capabilities. Provide decision-making data by calculating production, labor, and material costs, and analyzing trends to predict future needs. Prepare detailed reports on product and process performance through data collection and analysis. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required. Experience: 8-10+ years in quality or process engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Project Management skills; PMP certification is a plus. Proficient in manufacturing improvement methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and FMEA. Familiarity with PLC, drive systems, robotics, CNC programming, and industrial automation is an advantage. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and ERP/MRP systems. Strong analytical skills for addressing BOM errors and cost variances. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities at all organizational levels. Experience in global, fast-paced, cross-functional team environments. Knowledge of explosives and safety protocols is beneficial Previous experience with hazardous materials handling is advantageous.
