Summary:

Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Join a team of imaging professionals supporting Memorial Healthcare System’s six acute care hospitals. Work side by side with department staff across multiple facilities, delivering high-quality diagnostic care where it’s needed most. As part of the District Float Pool, you’ll contribute to a system that includes but not limited to: Memorial Regional Hospital, our flagship Level I trauma center and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a Magnet recognized leader in pediatric care. Responsibilities:

Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy.Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols.When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations.Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
