Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system to ensure that our products/services meet and exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of quality control principles and practices. The Quality Control Manager will oversee the quality control team, manage testing and inspection processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality control system and procedures.
Establish and monitor quality objectives, metrics, and targets to track and improve performance.
Lead and manage the quality control team, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
Plan and execute quality control inspections and tests for incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation related to quality control processes, including inspection plans, testing protocols, and quality reports.
Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and purchasing, to resolve quality-related issues and improve overall product/service quality.
Manage and maintain calibration of testing equipment and ensure their proper functioning.
Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Participate in external audits and act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and advancements in quality control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Science). A Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of progressive experience in quality control, with at least 5 years in a management role.
Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, GMP).
Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
Experience with internal and external audits.
