Job Title: Occupational Health Nurse

Location: St. Louis, MO

Employment Type: W2 Contract (12 Month Contract Temp-to-Perm Potential)

Pay Rate: $39.00 - 43.50 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Work Arrangement: Onsite, with travel between 8 local sites

Role Overview

BEPC is actively seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to provide expert, onsite medical care and health services support across multiple chemical manufacturing and warehouse facilities in St. Louis, MO. This nurse will work closely with EHS, HR, and leadership teams to manage employee health, deliver occupational medical monitoring, and respond to workplace injuries and medical needs.

This is a high-impact, autonomous role requiring strong clinical judgment, industrial health experience, and the ability to manage multiple health-related functions while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational medical evaluations, including vitals, blood draws, urine samples, spirometry, and medical history assessments.
• Coordinate and manage the Occupational Medical Monitoring Program and facilitate physician follow-ups.
• Travel between 8 local sites to deliver health services (must use personal vehicle; mileage reimbursed).
• Provide first aid, emergency medical care, triage, and return-to-work evaluations.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
• Collaborate with internal health services staff, external physicians, and management.
• Support infectious disease protocols, including COVID-related return-to-work processes.
• Participate in telephonic triage and provide ongoing support for injured employees.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and internal occupational health guidelines.

Qualifications Required:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license
• 2–4+ years of professional nursing experience
• Experience in occupational, industrial, or emergency/triage settings
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Reliable transportation for site-to-site travel

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Experience in a chemical manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Familiarity with Occupational Health Management System software
• Infectious disease management experience

Contract Details

• Location: 3500 Dekalb Street, St. Louis, MO 63118 (plus travel to additional local sites)
• Duration: 1 year with potential for full-time hire
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (2nd shift)
• Shift Differential: Additional 5% on base hourly rate
• Pay Frequency: Weekly
